The Devaraja Market Mysore was built in the year 1886. The market was built above the Dewan Poornaiah Canal. This canal supplied drinking water to Mysore Palace. Devaraja Market Mysore was named in 1925 after Dodda Devaraja Wadeyar. This market is also called by the name the Dodda market during that period.
