ASX-listed Cyprium Metals has announced a series of appointments to its senior management team.

Former Jadar managing director Colin Mackey has been appointed chief operating officer of the copper aspirant, while Louis Chait – who previously worked as Glencore’s chief financial officer for its copper portfolio – assumes the role of Cyprium’s new chief commercial officer.

With Mr Mackey’s arrival, Milan Jerkovic will transfer from COO to a senior adviser-based role.

On February 16, the company also accepted the resignation of Clive Donner as its managing director.

Cyprium executive chair Matt Fifield told the market he hoped this year could be transformative for the company.

This year, Cyprium has released an updated mineral resource update for operations at Nifty, along with a surface mine scoping study.

Last February, Cyprium tapped investors for $35 million in a bid to restart Nifty, along with an additional $31.6 million capital raising seven months later.

Cyprium last traded at 4.2 cents per share.
