Centorrino Technologies attains CSSP certification

Melbourne managed services provider Centorrino Technologies (CT) has achieved the federal government’s Certified Strategic Service Provider (CSSP) certification under the Hosting Certification Framework for its cloud services.

CT joins fourteen other cloud service providers to attain the certification – among them Microsoft Azure Cloud, IBM Australia and Google Australia – making it an authorised cloud service provider for Australian government agencies.

The firm was assessed on a range of security controls to attain CSSP certification, including legal requirements on ownership, security and integrity of the supply chain and reporting conditions. 

Special conditions are also placed on the exclusive use of certified data centre facilities and the need for data to always remain within Australia.

“Obtaining and maintaining this certification is essential to ensure we meet the rigorous cloud security requirements for our Australian Federal Government clients,” said CT’s CTO Nicholas Iacobucci.

“However, our commitment to security excellence goes well beyond federal government requirements. By achieving this certification, our clients – regardless of their size or industry – can be assured their cloud environments receive the same level of robust security of federal government standards.”

CT is a member of the Defence Industry Security Program and offers security-cleared personnel when required. 

The firm is also compliant with ISO31000 for Risk  Management and ISO 27001 for Information Security Management Systems.

In July 2023, CT achieved gold-level solutions partner status with HPE Aruba Networking.
